Carrum

The seaside suburb of Carrum runs along the coast from the Patterson River toward Seaford. Carrum’s gorgeous beach is part of the Longbeach precinct and is book ended by seaside suburbs Bonbeach and Seaford. Walking through the Carrum life saving club out toward the water is a treat and many young families frequent the foreshore playground, boardwalk and Beauty Spot nearby.

Carrum boasts a strip of beachfront properties with unobscured water views. The homes in the small cul-de-sacs leading from Nepean Highway to the beach are also rare and this incredible residential beach access is one of Carrum’s unique features, shared only by a select group of suburbs in all of Melbourne.

Carrum has its own small shopping village with great café’s and casual eateries like Crackerjack, The Beach Bar and Café and Freddie’s Kitchen. The brand new Carrum train station is a short walk away. Carrum is close to Frankston shopping centre, Harbour Plaza and also in close proximity to Mordialloc and Chelsea.

Carrum’s nautical heritage is evidenced by its 1930’s established life saving club and the Chelsea Yacht club is close by and was established in 1938. Carrum Primary school is one of the best schools in the area and Patterson Lakes Primary and Carrum Downs Secondary College are a short journey away.  Carrum recreational facilities include the Roy Dore Reserve where you can find the Long Beach Tennis Club and the Carrum Pirate Ship Park.

Carrum is 33 km from the CBD and it’s part of the City of Kingston. The postcode for Carrum is 3197.
